The most interesting element to 'Adanel's Tale' for me was that it was rejected from the text with the excuse that Andreth wouldn't share this heretical story with Finrod, which opened up the idea of what other discarded or unpreserved stories were there. And I have a thing for mythic stories set at the very beginnings of civilization.

And I have a thing for mythic stories set at the very beginnings of civilization.

This is a terrific concept, very well-executed also. I love the visual imagery. I love the way she gives and withholds information from Finrod--in that she maintains power and control. Very moving and has a real world sense of myth and legend to it also.
