Written for the It Comes in Threes challenge, with the prompts 'strands in a braid' and 'Silmarils'. This is a sequel to 'Strands' (which I wrote before this challenge started), so it would be best to read that first (neither is very long). I chose such a similar title because strand can also mean beach or shore.
