"And one can imagine the different--and darker--turn the stories would have taken without the Fëanorians."
The last paragraph, ending with the above quote, is a very interesting point of view. One that I haven't considered. I completly agree with it.

This is super helpful; I've been considering writing a story about the twins, and having everything summarised in one place has given me lots of ideas. Thank you!
