The impossible happened – a Silmaril has been stolen from Morgoth’s crown. Maedhros decides to reunite the People of Beleriand against the Enemy and attack him while he is still unprepared (which is by no means less impossible). Meanwhile, in the hidden city of Gondolin, Lord Glorfindel of the Golden Flower pursues the meaning of his recurring nightmares, only to find himself in the centre of a secret ploy against the ever-growing power of Maeglin Lómion in the King’s Council.
The People of Beleriand are astir; and as the strings of our heroes’ fates tangle, a dark shadow creeps above the North – the Fifth Battle approaches. And to what end, no one could dream...
Those left behind do not sit idle. Five drabbles.
There’s a ferry (eventually) and a sunrise, and two people with a lot of history between them talking while they wait.
It happened in the days of the First Age--
Or, how Elwing got those ships.
Eluréd and Elurín return to Imladris after their search for Daeron, but all is not well with them.
Finrod learns more.
"Words of wit and whimsy" all of line 3 (free spac: weald)
A dare between siblings on the icy expanse leads to an encounter with the local fauna
At the 'anniversary' of the delving of Menegroth, Finrod wears a waistcoat...
for “Words of Wit and Whimsy” bingo. (includes all the words of the top line.) Especially 'waistcoat'
Extract from 'Lives of the Noble Edain and Noldor', by the controversial historian Amilcar of Númenor. A passage of the chapter dedicated to Fingon, fifth King of the Noldor.
Alatáriel undertakes to learn an art long forbidden by her family.
This is a series of drabbles and short fics, each one complete in itself, that were written during my Maedhros-muse's time in Theatrical Muse on LJ, between 2004 and 2005.
Maglor keeps getting pulled into conversations about the past. About the Silmaril, the Oath, and even the Succession of the High Kingship.
He's usually honest.
A series of drabbles based on prompts for a meme on my Silmarillion blog.
The first drafts were posted in 2013, and I\'ve polished and fluffed them up a bit since then, because I have chronic editing syndrome.
It is Aman. It is the Fifth Age. Finally left to his own devices, Finarfin has decided to show his own radical streak, unkinged himself, and established representative democracy in Tirion against the will of the Valar. Adding to the crazy, all his exiled, slain relatives are beginning to return from Mandos ...
The childhood of Elros and Elrond leading up to the end of the First Age.
Or, the Silmarillion retold.
Not really what it says on the tin. It's just that Andreth never quite seems to agree with Finrod, much as I may like him, and I can't seem to let that go. Aegnor, of course, is never heard from at all. My athrabeth-based scribbles more or less belong to the same mood, though it has not been that consistent.
I am working on a few pieces about Nerdanel. So I will add them here as I finish. There is not nearly enough about her in The Silmarillion in comparison with her importance to the main storyline.
Stories of Gondolin. This series began as a response to the Fanfic100 challenge on Livejournal, but 100 stories remains quite an ambitious number! These are very short stories-- ficlets, if you will-- about Gondolin and its denizens. Content runs the gamut from All Ages-rated genfic to explicit slash. Content warnings will be provided for each story.
After Amras saves her life, a Nandorin woman swears loyalty to the Sons of Fëanor. As the events of the First Age unfold, she must come to terms with the consequences of that decision.
A collection of short, more or less irreverent stories dealing with the information offered by the Laws and Customs among the Eldar, their implications and interpretations in fandom.
Will be updated irregularly - as inspiration strikes.
I have alluded to the deep friendship between Dísa, a noble Dwarf-woman of the House of Narvi, and Mélamírë, the Second Age elven-smith of Ost-in-Edhil, in previous stories of the Pandë!verse, e.g., Chapter 28 of The Elendilmir and Chapter 4 of The Writhen Pool. I figured I\'d gather their stories in one place as a series.
So. OFCs. Pandë!verse. Those should be ample warnings.

This series encompasses my stories about the House of Fëanor from their early days in Aman until their demise. All of the stories are set in the same \"verse,\" use the same original characters and conventions, and are intended to be read together. They are kept in the order in which they are best read, so starting at the top and working down will keep you pretty much in sequence. Story content and ratings vary, so please check each story before reading. Other authors who have played with the same ideas as used in my stories are welcome to add to the series. Please email or PM me if you\'d like me to add your story.
A collection of stories about Elrond\'s childhood with the Sons of Fëanor, and its impact on his later life.
I write mainly about the Noldor. And even writing about them, write mainly about the Feanorians and those who love them. This is my collection of stories featuring the Sindar and those who love them.
