Ahem.

This is a really interesting re-imagining of the theft of the Silmarils. I can definitely see Feanor as the mad  single-minded inventor determined on getting his invention back and forgetting all about his poor brother in the snow... 

Oh, I like this take!  I'm almost imagining a somewhat more 'tragedy' situation than outright betrayal, a ship sent but lost on the way, or the helicopter going down before he made it to his destination...

This is a delicious little AU - I'd love to see more of it!
