A Stolen Gift by Flora-lass

Fanwork Notes

I found it hard to make it totally clear in this poem who Maglor is referring to when he says 'you'. It's more often Elrond, as that's who Maglor is holding, but sometimes it's both the twins (the phrase and title 'a stolen gift' refers to both of them, of course). But when Maglor says 'we', he means himself and Maedhros.

The mention of snow is due to the fact that there was snow on the ground here in England when I started writing this (unusually early in the winter), and I could hear children playing in it.

"You have found something I thought was lost."

I got tingles all over my body at this!

Absolutely, mournfully, beautiful!
