Also, they are werewolves and running through the woods in wolf-form. It's not mentioned in the fic, but it's important to the image in my head.

I'm honestly not sure whether the werewolfing is a means of escape, or whether Nan Elmoth twisted them in such a way that it turned them into wolves, because I could not figure out how to include the detail in the story one way or the other.

The song really fits Aredhel, Eöl and Maeglin so well, I'm surprised I never considered this before. I love the song!
