"The hospitality of Dol Amroth would be sorely lacking," the young woman said, daintily lifting the hem of her pale dress out of the seafoam. "No one will object if I bring a guest to our hall, beggar though he be."

He received a lifted eyebrow in answer, and could see her shrewd guess confirmed behind her grey eyes. "Kinsmen are even more welcome, and there stands a lovely harp in the high hall. Let none say that we have forgotten Númenor and her First-King, and where he took his beginning."
