Chapter End Notes

Salmar is a Maia of Ulmo who was associated with stringed instruments and befriended the Noldor (Salmar bio by Dawn Felagund).

The idea that hithlain might have been used in Doriath is my own, used by me previously in a ficlet about Celeborn and Galadriel (Hithlain).
