n CASE you are unfamiliar with these characters--which kudos to you for clicking on the fic anyway--here is a brief rundown of what's canon:
- Nimrodel opposes the Elves of the west and dislikes Lothlorien although she comes to love its king
- After the balrog awakes in Moria Nimrodel and her people flee but are unable to enter Fangorn Forest
- Nimrodel accepts Amroth's proposal and they begin to journey west, intending to sail for Valinor
- The party becomes separated; Amroth arrives in the Bay of Belfalas but Nimrodel is lost
- Allegedly Mithrellas weds Imrazor and bears him two children after which she vanishes
- When Amroth's waiting ship is blown into the bay by a storm and the sailors decide they can't wait any longer, Amroth throws himself into the sea trying to swim back to shore to wait for Nimrodel, but he drowns
