The Feast of Reuniting finds the House of Fingolfin relaxing around a fire. Fingon is bold, Turgon is reserved, and Fingolfin loves his sons. A short character study that I hope to flesh out into a larger story, centering Fingon.
In Beleriand, the newly assigned territory of Angrod and Aegnor borders on the territory of the cousins who betrayed them.
From the time of settlement to their death in battle, what were the relations between Angrod and Aegnor and their cousin Maedhros, son of Feanor?
Now added: "First Meeting" (Aegnor/Andreth). A related ficlet.
The people of Tirion learn of Miriel's death. For the Five Things challenge for SWG's fifth birthday. 2011 MEFA nominee.
A piece of somewhat AU Maglor insanity; dark.
Maedhros and Fingon and a cherry tree: first in Mithrim and later in Valinor, outside the gates of Lorien.
Now added: Take Two: The Fell Winter
Approximately half-way split between Fingon x Maedhros viewed through Maglor’s eyes, and Maglor’s post-Nirnaeth Arnoediad relationship with his brother. Significant deviations from canon throughout, approaching AU in parts.
Lúthien survived the First Age and has spent much of the time in the East. When she arrives in Imladris on a random visit to her descendants, she learns Sauron is hunting for the Ring. Lúthien and Huan take it upon themselves to help Frodo to Mordor.
When the Istyari of Second Age Ost-in-Edhil deny her a place in an important new initiative to be taken up by the Gwaith-i-Mírdain, a young master smith struggles to make her mark in the man's realm of the forges. An opportunity arrives when the smith is offered a commission that will present challenges of both mind and heart.

The Feanorians are camped on one side of the lake of Mithrim, the Fingolfinians on the other. Many of the Feanorians would welcome the Fingolfinians, but do not dare--what action then might they take?

Maedhros’ hands -- a paean of sorts.
Sauron was not always wholly evil, and after he was freed from Morgoth, he turned from the darkness for a while. But meeting a wandering minstrel proves too much for his newfound convictions, and leaves Maglor in grave danger. Written for Iavalir at My Slashy Valentine 2013.
After Maedhros has yielded the crown of the Noldor to Fingolfin, he and Fingon must negotiate the new power dynamics between them. Written for the Porn Battle XIV: Fiery Fourteen. Prompts used: Scars, love, fierce, heartbeat, pride, anger, darkness, flame, defeat
Matimo hears of Findekáno's morning.
Finrod and his werewolf
Mounds of earth, or people's lives. A young woman, living in First Age Hithlum, grapples with grief and loss, and bakes bread.
"Nine ships there were: four for Elendil, and for Isildur three, and for Anarion two; and they fled before the gale out of the twilight of doom into the darkness of the world. [...] And all the coasts and seaward regions of the western world suffered great change and ruin in that time; for the seas invaded the lands, and shores foundered."
A story for B2MeM 2013, combining the prompts for archetypes, good and ill, and back to lands you once did know (days one, two and four respectively):
Maglor's wife, a Sinda of Mithrim, learns about the events of Alqualondë, and confronts her husband about his actions, differing beliefs, and the future.
In her youth, Amarië of the Vanyar was an idealistic and gifted poet, a rising star among the Vanyar. Many thousands of years later, having weathered unimaginable loss, Amarië is called to Lórien to witness the awakening of her once-beloved and newly reembodied Finrod. For B2MeM 2013, Day One, archetype and loss of innocence.
This story is based upon a mystery element within my short story No Justice to Yourself. It stands alone, but it contains the revelation of Erestor's old boyfriend who had recently dumped him in that story. While it is a prequel of sorts to "No Justice to Yourself," it is a short story which may be understood on its own.
Ignoble Bard did even more than he usual does in his Beta of this story. He forced me to write an ending when I just wanted to stop. Thank you very much, my dear friend.
Fingolfin has called a council and proposed launching an all-out attack on Morgoth. He expects Maedhros to be the most ardent supporter of his plan. He would, wouldn't he?
