I created this for TRSB 2023. My accompanying prompt was as follows:

Ships: background canon (incl. Maglor/wife) and OC/OC(/OC…) of whatever genders, sexual orientations, and species you want to write.

Requesting: Maglor is in exile after the war that finally defeated Morgoth. She wanders the stars, avoiding the Elves— but she stumbles across a piece of intelligence she desperately needs to bring to Gil-galad.* Trouble ensues: think dangerous spaceports, a ship breakdown, a group of random Elves arresting her over something minor and she needs to escape, and things of that nature.

*I follow Silm canon where Fingon is Gil-galad’s father. My Maedhros is aroace.

DNWs: movieverse or showverse, crackfic, major character death, either twin dying or being injured at Losgar, on-page Sauron, Morgoth/Sauron or Maedhros/Fingon, evil Valar, unhappy ending

To the best of my knowledge and effort (I choose images that had been uploaded years ago), while some images in the moodboard are clearly digitally manipulated, none of them were created using AI.
