If it feels like you shouldn't be reading this now (possibly while at work) on a Friday, you're correct. Our newsletter normally goes out on Saturday, but sending this addition is our last act before putting the site into read-only mode for the weekend.

Yes, you read that correctly: The site will be in read-only mode 16-18 September while we do a major and somewhat complex software upgrade. There may be times where we need to take the site offline altogether. We hope to be back up and running by the end of the day on Sunday (whether the upgrade was successful or not!)

While we are in read-only mode, the fanworks below are there for your enjoyment. (Maybe jot down your comments in a document to share with the creators when the site is back up again?) If you're in more of a creative spirit, we have just unveiled our new challenge, Major Arcana, which is based on tarot cards. You can use any aspect of the cards—the titles, the images, the descriptions, the readings—to inspire your fanwork.

We appreciate everyone's patience while we complete this majorly arcane software upgrade!

Eä's Redemption by by AaronAzrael [Writing]

This is my new poetical attempt to add my own interpretation to Tolkien's Cosmology as to Eru's Creation and the Valar's minds and behind-the-scene providence reasons and mechanisms.. I often review Eä as part of our own world, just in another dimension, this is why I have always seriously thought on the matter who the Ainur are, who Eru is, how he matches our own religious pantheon, and this has been conducted after serious research of many esoteric teachings of our own planet's heritage.
