Fanwork Notes

What can I say? The three-challenge stamp tempted me.
This is exactly as cracky as it sounds.

Warning for canon-typical amputated limbs, just as the title implies. Not that you can see anything in the sketch yet, but it's gonna be there... eventually. No gore, though.

I know this is a super shoddy stick-figure sketch ("concept art" makes it sound too fancy), but I promise I put thought into it!
Let me explain:
On the left - Luke Skywalker shows off his fancy prosthetic hand to an astounded Beren. Bucky Barnes watches interestedly, waiting for his turn to show his own fancy arm.
Centre - Captain Hook sits at a table, nursing a Piña Colada and probably envying the high-tech prosthetics of the aforementioned characters. Admiral Nelson stands next to him in the exact (vaguely Napoleonic, oh the irony) pose that he has on that column in Trafalgar Square, probably eyeing the pirate in displeasure. Little Midshipman Blakeney, meanwhile, stares at Nelson in a hero-worshipping sort of way. Next to Blakeney sits Tenel Ka from the Young Jedi Knights series - a hot-tempered, red-headed teenager glaring at Maedhros. He glares back, trying to figure out when he might have fathered a child (and also since whether one-handedness might be hereditary). Imperator Furiosa leans against the wall, enjoying the spectacle and also a Tequila Sunrise. On the other side of the table, Eugenides from the Queen's Thief series may or may not have spirited a Silmaril from Maedhros' pocket.
And on the far right, Darth Vader is standing with his back to the others, moping because nobody has invited him in.

I meant to add a lava lamp to the table for good measure, but then I forgot about it. I'll probably put it in once I turn this into an actual drawing...

A rough sketch (stick figures) of various fictional characters (and Admiral Nelson) who have lost a hand grouped around a table in a self-help group scenario.

Chapter End Notes

I thought that the Back to the Future was the silliest fanart idea I'd ever have. I should have known that I'd immediately think of something even more absurd!

Brilliantly wacky and hilarious idea to have these one-handed characters get together. There should really be a pub somewhere called "The Missing Hand" where they could meet.
