Hahaha, I love your Celegorm! He's hilarious, and a surprisingly good babysitter. For all that he and Curufin are shown in the Silmarillion to be close, I never gave much thought to what Celegorm's relationship with Celebrimbor must have been like. This was an absolute pleasure to read! My favorite line was definitely:

"“Good point, how about I lick your forehead and one hand and you do the other,” Tyelkormo suggested without actually checking to hear what the fuck came out of his mouth."

That was such a great moment! Curufin's response was perfect, too...he's not even surprised or upset, just exasperated. I love it!

The part where he calls himself "dumb uncle Tyelkormo" was kind of heart-breaking, though, because it makes me wonder if he actually thinks of himself that way...

Anyway, great story! It made me laugh more than once!

Wow how did I miss this. Thank you so much. I love writing Celegorm as being capable at things as much as incapable which I often see him written as (usually as the dumb brother? Which I did play with. When you have Maedhros and Maglor on one side, and Curufin on the other I suppose anyone would have some self esteem issues as you noted him referring to himself as the dumb uncle which he does indeed see himself as. Ignoring that he is technically a polygot.)

I really like that line too :D it seems like something someone has possibly said to a child at some point in time.

Thank you again! I am so sorry I did not see this review because seeing it right now made me smile from ear to ear! it really made my nigh! Over a year and a half later than it should have XD
