Oooh, don't see these two interact much early on, I love this as a choice!  And well done on the acrostic :)

I quite like that lullaby!  But I also deeply sympathize with the inability to sleep when it's too hot. Uuugh!

Little (medium) Nerdanel avidly watching her dad to learn is such a mood, as is the idea of her relationship with Indis starting so early on. (Maybe Indis introduced them?)

As far as we know, she doesn't go in for making jewellery later, much, but I'm sure medium Nerde would want to learn *all the things* from her dad!

If Indis did introduce Nerdanel to Feanor, that would be one way of setting up a comedy-of-manners-type romance of initial misunderstandings... I haven't actually got a fixed head-canon about their first meeting and enjoy reading all kinds of scenarios!

oh I LOVE this!  That second line especially for two reasons: because when one is deep into the creative process it is so very easy to lose track of everything else, but also the way you worded it makes it feel like Telchar was down there for years just focused so entirely on this piece that whole aspects of the world changed and he didn't even know.

Imagining him blinking into the sun for the first time and being like "what the hell happened up here?!  How long was I down there!?!"

Thank you!

This is a piece in which I only gradually figured out what I was writing about as I was composing it.

But yes, I really was going for that feeling.

It occurred to me, some way through, that the reason why we are never told about the original commissioner or first intended owner is not only that Telchar forgot about them while he was working, but perhaps something happened while he was working that meant they did not receive Narsil when it was finished...
