Something for the season. A retired maths teacher has a surprise visitor on New Year's Eve. Over the course of the evening, secrets are told and an old friendship is renewed.

In which Dior meets Nimloth.

The group of elves who were harrowed by the dungeon of Tol-in-Gaurhoth join with friends and family early in the peace of the Second Age to have a sweet snack.

It was never the right moment to leave Doriath.

One of the first big leaks happened in the Hall of Ages, once used for the spectacular Autumn Moon dances. Formerly a favorite room of the Queen. A section of gilded woodwork, encrusted with carven grapes and flowers, gave way and fell to the floor. Water streamed in, ruining a delicate mural of the Great Journey. The polished parquet floor swelled and warped beyond repair.

No one was thinking about dancing, so soon after the King’s death and the Sack. They shut up the room and left it be.

Aegnor and Andreth test their respective alcohol tolerance. 

Fingon wanders in Eastern Beleriand and comes across a long-lost relative.

Main story followed by extras:

Interlude - Evening, featuring Erien (OFC) thinking about Fingon and Gil-galad. 

A Dog Called Mellon, recounting a small incident at Gil-galad's court in Lindon. 

The small rain down can rain, featuring Fingon and a very young Gil-galad. (new)

Elrond gets nostalgic at the celebrations of his daughters wedding.

Farmer Maggot dines at Bag End before Yule. 

Dior is helped to face adolescence by his parents.

The Noldor never left Aman.

Angrod meets a member of the House of Bëor.

There were things lost on the journey to Aman, history and culture, art and songs. Such things the Eldar might never see again and yet one thing they thought lost forever still survives.

Magic.

When Finarfin begins to dig deeper into the past of his people he discovers things that shouldn't have been forgotten and unearths what the Valar would have preferred to stay forgotten. Magic is dangerous after all, it corrupts all those who use it.

Doesn't it?

Fëanor and Nerdanel go and see the sky and stuff.

While wandering around Tirion, Tuor meets Finrod.

This is my first attempt at writing Silmarillion fanfiction, and I hope it will be the beginning of a long fanfiction journey to come :)
