A Fëanorian Hanukkah,

Fëanor and his seven sons: eight drabbles for eight nights.

Melian and Galadriel share a moment alone.

In the brief period of calm between the end of the War and the Valinorean army sailing home to Aman, Maglor makes a decision.

The story of Aerin of the House of Hador and Broddun of the Easterlings, Brodda's sister. After the crushing defeat of the Edain in the Nirnaeth Arnoediad, the Easterlings have occupied Dor-lomin. Brodda has taken Aerin to wife by force.

Aerin and Broddun find ways of dealing with it and with each other. Their friendship grows and survives amid difficulties, but the end is bitter.

Now added: an extra drabble.

A series of snapshots from Fëanor’s early life, centred around a beloved stuffed owl.

Day 3: Candlelight

Níniel needs Finduilas to help her remember a word. Or maybe she just wants to kiss her.

Spending the holidays with your family is always difficult. Especially if you've disowned them.
Or, Celebrimbor discovers you can choose your own family (sometimes, it's even the people you're related to).

Elwë gets sidetracked on his way to visit Finwë.

In Gondolin, a fat elf attempts to befriend a sad elf. 
At first, things don't look very promising. 
But maybe the friendship will turn out deeper and more real for it, in the long run.

Míriel has a mysterious encounter after a Festival of Uinen at Rómenna. Much later, facing death for herself and her people, she makes a bargain with the Lady of the Seas.

The Entwives tend their orchard.

When the sons of Feanor come to Doriath to claim the Silmaril by force, Elurín and Eluréd learn that evil is not always beastly and that sometimes, the monsters from your nightmares are the only hope at hand.
